[hue-user] RE: Issue creating table from CSV file in Hue

Dear Hue user

Have a happy new year.  We are using Hue 3.6.0 and CDH 5.2.0. and we are trying to submit a new Java job through Hue’s Job Designer. (Our job Is a java program that starts a MapReduce Job).

Our java classes use third party libraries in the Map class but every time it shows a ClassNotFoundException.  I tried several options, including making a fat Jar with the third party libraries inside the lib directory in the Jar, I have uploaded the libraries to HDFS and tried using the –libjarsoption as specified here, but it seems that that the Hue interface doesn’t recognize that option. With every option that I tried I haven’t been able to tell the Job launched from Hue to find the third party jars.

Sadly we don’t have command line access to submit the MapReduce job, so I have to launch it from Hue’s Job Designer.  Is it possible for you to point me my mistakes in this and provide a solution?
